YAHARA RIVER VOLUNTEERS

The Yahara River Writers Anthology Project is a writing and cartooning contest for students in grades 5-8 from over 20 school districts in Dane County. Many Middleton-Cross Plains middle school students submit work to this project.  We could use some help in judging submissions for about 1-2 weeks in January. This work can be done at volunteers' homes. Volunteers will receive a packet of student writing (not your child’s grade level) along with a rubric.  Volunteers do not need to write comments back to students. They only need to select their top 12 pieces from that batch of entries. This is a fairly small time commitment but a quick turn around of the materials will be needed between approximately January 7- January 18.  If you have questions about this volunteering opportunity, please contact the teacher Ruth Frawley at rfrawley@mcpasd.k12.wi.us.  Thanks for considering!
