SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

From the Kromrey PTO Board

The Kromrey PTO board welcomes you to the 2019-2020 school year!

The Kromrey PTO board is a group of parents who work closely with the administrators, staff, and families to support activities, events, and fundraisers through volunteerism and donations.

We look forward to hearing from you this year!

Success Stories

Congratulations to Kromrey Middle School for being recognized for its implementation of positive behavior at the bronze level by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Wisconsin Rtl Center.

Thank You for the Sept 19th“State of the School” Presentations

Thank you to Mr. Dom Ricks, Mr. Eric Engel, Mr. Bill Luebke, and Ms. Gabriella Hinahara for your informative and welcoming presentation at the State of the School on September 19.

Here are just a few of the exciting initiatives our school leaders discussed.

Mr. Luebke started off the evening by explaining how the “Be Kromrey” program will provide a positive impact throughout the school. Initiatives include quarterly pep rallies, “Be Kromrey” student groups, community engagement, and training for bus drivers. Every adult interacting with Kromrey’s students understands and practices the positive reinforcement approach championed by Mr. Luebke.

Mr. Engel and Ms. Hinahara updated parents on improvements to the Youth Center. The Youth Center was recently relocated from Clark Street to Kromrey offering students and staff a significant upgrade in both location and infrastructure. The Youth Center offers after school enrichment activities including sports, homework club, tutoring, and much more.

Mr. Ricks was the keynote speaker for the “State of the School” and he provided parents with an inspiring narrative about his leadership style, his vision for Kromrey, the personal experiences that underpin his lifelong passion for education, and his motivation to help every child succeed.

The members of the PTO Board are thrilled to be partnered with Mr. Ricks, Mr. Engel, Mr. Luebke, and Ms. Hinahara as they strive to build Kromrey into the best learning environment it can be.

Dear Kromrey Families:

Thank you so much for your generous donations thus far this year; as of today, we are already about 60% toward meeting our Kromrey PTO fundraising goal! If you haven't yet had a chance to make your donation, it certainly isn't too late. You can always make a donation online.

More info can be found on our website at https://www.kromreypto.org/donate

Why donate? Our PTO-sponsored events and programs are funded solely by your generous donations. The PTO supports the students, teachers, and staff of Kromrey Middle School with funds needed to:

· Enhance programming opportunities,

· Provide additional learning resources, and

· Ensure that all students have the tools they need for the best possible learning environment.

Donations to the PTO directly benefit the Kromrey community. Examples include:

· Eighth Grade Celebration

· Sunshine Fund

· Staff Appreciation Events

Thank you for your support!
